ISSUE 6: GETTING PUBLISHED
You are an expert at something. We all are. It's time to use your experience to get yourself some free exposure. Write a short article. Nothing fancy. Imagine that you're talking to someone who's just starting out in your field. Tell him or her about mistakes you've made, what you've learned in the process and - of course - what you did right --> What really works. Ok, now the easy part: Getting published. Pop over to http://ezinearticles.com/add_url.html and submit your article. Next stop, Topica (http://www.topica.com). Do a quick search on newsletters that deal with your topic. Subscribe to them, get in touch with the editor and send him or her your article. This really is doable. There are many e-zines and fresh content is a commodity. Go for it. You have nothing to lose and customers to gain. Remember that someone who visits your site AFTER reading something you wrote feels like he already knows you. (And if you work a nice personal angle in your article, the prospective customer might even like and trust you) Really getting your press releases NOTICED... Getting your press release under the noses of reporters can be a daunting task - unless you have a bit of help. I highly recommend ExpressPress. For a reasonable fee, they'll feed your press release to literally THOUSANDS of reporters. It's worth the investment many times over. >> ExpressPress
